FAQ
Intro to Medical Coding students will attend an instructor led class, in which they will be trained in medical coding as it relates to ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding. Students enrolled in the Specialty I or Specialty II courses will attend in instructor led class, in which they will be trained in medical coding as it relates to the specific specialty.

How does WPCCollege work?
The cost for the Intro to Medical Coding course is $3000* including a non-refundable registration fee of $500 which is required to secure a seat in the course (Registration fee is applied towards tuition). Remaining amount can be paid in full at start of course or via installments upon approval. AAPC National CPC exam, AAPC textbook/workbook, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding books , and 1st yr AAPC membership are included in tuition.
*Tuition is $2500 with discount phrase FTCPC (during specified period) . Discount not available for specialty courses, contract students , students receiving financial aid or assistance. Regular tuition for Intro to Medical Coding course is $3000*
The cost for Specialty I (OBGYN*) and Specialty II (GI*) courses are $1500 including a non refundable registration fee of $300 which is required to secure a seat in the course (Registration fee is applied towards tuition). Remaining amount can be paid in full at start of course or via installments upon approval. AAPC National Certification exams, specialty specific study guides and practice exams are included in tuition.

What is the cost for the courses?

Yes, students can retake exam however there may be additional cost. WPCCollege will allow students to retest during a regularly scheduled testing date. *Only one exam attempt is included in course tuition.*
Can I retake the exam if I fail on first attempt?
The cost for tutoring varies; depending on what area of tutoring is needed. The cost ranges from $25-$40/hr. *Minimum tutoring session is an hour.*

Where are the classes located and what hours?
Intro to Medical Coding course runs for 22 weeks or 5 1/2 months. The AAPC National CPC exam will be proctored on the final week (all exams are on Saturday, unless otherwise noted.
Specialty I (OBGYN*) and Specialty II (GI*) courses runs for 15 weeks. The AAPC Specialty exams will be proctored on the final week (Exams will be scheduled based on student preference).

We offer two class schedules for Intro to Medical Coding course:
Class 1- Saturday mornings 8:00a-12:00 pm.
Class 2- Monday evenings 5:30-9:30 pm.
Class schedule for Specialty I (OBGYN):
Tuesday evenings 5:30-7:30 pm.*
Class schedule for Specialty II (GI):
Thursday evenings 5:30-7:30 pm.*
*All class schedules are contingent upon minimum number of student enrollment for these courses.
Virtual/Online Courses
The cost for virtual/online Intro to Medical Coding course is $3000 without cost of books or $3500 including cost of books. A non-refundable deposit fee of $500 is required to enroll in the course (deposit is applied toward total tuition). The AAPC National CPC exam is included in tuition. This course is for 22-weeks. Start dates and time coincide with in-person classes.* Please contact the school for additional questions.
